Flights to Melbourne
The following carriers provide frequent direct flights from most major centers across Australia.

Every arrival at Airport is met by a shuttle bus and taxis that will take passengers into Melbourne city. The trip will take around thirty minutes. If you’d like to drive yourself, rental cars are available: Hertz, AVIS, Europcar and Budget.
Shuttle Bus
The friendly driver of the Melbourne Skybus will take you into Melbourne city and drop you at your accommodation (hotel or motel). You can also book this airport shuttle bus to pick you up and take you to the airport when you’re ready to leave – just make a booking more than two hours before you want to be picked up. Most hotels will be happy to make the booking for you.
Express from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station – One-way trip $17 round trip $34.
Uber
Uber drivers pick up travellers from two locations at Melbourne Airport. For Qantas, International and Virgin Australia passengers, the ride-share pick up zone is lane 1 of the forecourt.
For Jetstar, TigerAir, Rex or AirNorth passengers, the pick up zone is level 2 inside the T4 Ground Transport Hub. Passengers can be dropped off anywhere along Departure Drive and the T4 Transport Hub drop off zone on level 1. This is the same for all the public drop off zones.
Taxis
The taxi rank is located directly out the front of the Airport building. If you need a mini-van or special taxi please ask one or our kerbside assistants who will radio one through for you. If there are no taxis available, phone numbers for the major taxi companies are listed inside the terminal near the baggage carousels.
Taxi from the airport to the CBD will cost between $60 – $70 dependent on traffic.
