Abstract:
This study examines the landscape of gender-related research in post-conflict Northern Mindanao over the past decade, aiming to understand the trends, gaps, and opportunities in knowledge production within this conflict-affected region. By systematically inventorying publications from 2013 to 2023, it identifies patterns in authorship, research topics, and trajectories of inquiry. The project also profiles authors to explore factors such as institutional affiliation, gender, and academic background, revealing who contributes to this body of work and whose voices may be underrepresented. Thematic analysis will categorize the publications, identifying dominant and emerging topics. Additionally, the research maps the trajectory of gender-related inquiries, assessing how socio-political events and regional contexts influence research priorities. Findings from this inventory provides valuable insights for scholars, policymakers, and institutions to better align academic efforts with the region's unique needs. The project aims to strengthen gender-focused research by highlighting trends and addressing underexplored areas, ultimately contributing to more inclusive and impactful knowledge production in Northern Mindanao.
