Abstract:
Complex global dynamics and emerging challenges are increasingly pushing the boundaries of international and political theory. While not yet at breaking point, the foundations of the social and political sciences are strained—struggling to keep pace with advancements in science and technology. This panel presents novel research from the emerging sub-field of quantum international relations. Introducing cutting-edge quantum-informed research that reframes our understanding of international politics, panellists present quantum-inspired perspectives on decision theory, dromology, international political economy, and international theory.
Challenging established ontological and epistemological frameworks, quantum informed approaches provide new analytical tools for that are—more so ow than ever—critically important for students, scholars, policymakers, and strategists alike.
